A Note from the Founder
I’ve spent 25 years in vascular surgery—caring for patients, performing complex procedures, and training the next generation of physicians. But some of my most urgent insights didn’t come in the operating room. They came from watching how patients struggled to understand their own medical notes.
For too long, medicine has spoken a language most people don’t speak. I saw caregivers, families, and even clinicians misinterpret or misunderstand what was written in the chart. It was frustrating. And it was fixable.
That’s why I built RosettaMD—to make medical language more humane, more accessible, and more useful. Paired with HER-BERT, our AI engine, we’re creating tools that turn medical data into something patients can actually understand—and systems can trust.

Meet the Founder
Dr. Chris Wixon is a board-certified vascular surgeon and serial health tech entrepreneur. He is the founder of both RosettaMD, a health literacy platform powered by AI, and Archimedes Medical, a multidisciplinary medical practice built on innovation, precision, and patient-centered care.
A seasoned physician with 25+ years of clinical leadership, Dr. Wixon has also served on hospital boards, launched independent physician networks, and mentored future medical professionals. His dual expertise in surgery and technology gives him a unique lens into the gaps patients face—particularly in accessing and understanding their own medical data.
Driven by the belief that healthcare can be more transparent, equitable, and intuitive, Dr. Wixon created RosettaMD to simplify medical language and reduce confusion. Whether in the operating room or behind a product launch, he’s committed to giving people clarity, dignity, and access in moments that matter.
